I think the problem is reason. I think the problem is the last mile.
Would I be right if I said that there was no one with an IQ of over 120 until the fabled Tower of Pisa incident proved that the acceleration due to gravity is constant?
No atheist should be able to say that Christians, or for that matter any believer, is dumb. The major guidance in their life is purportedly reason.
But all said and done, your question does need to be answered. Common ground? Definitely not. We can definitely tolerate each other. But, at best, that is the best we can do. Our leniency and understanding disappears when we start talking about faith.
So if you are talking about common ground, there are plenty of them. If you (atheist) and your neighbor (believer) favor the same team, and it wins, who wins?
It's back to the drawing board friend...

LOL. I've taken plenty of IQ tests in the past 15 years or so, and have scored between 93 and 153. I think this says more about the quality of the tests than about my intelligence or lack thereof.
I was a member of Mensa based on the SAT test I took in 1976. I was very good at "multiple guess tests." So, Mensa allows good guessers to be members. LOL.

The clearly common ground between them is that they both lied.
Very obvious!
I am not saying that all atheists or all christians are liars, just saying that most of those that took that poll are.
It is estimated that people with an IQ of 140 are only a tiny percentage, funny that they all showed up to take that test.lol

Well, here is an opinion, everyonje has one as do those you speak about in your question. But the most common ground there is between Christians, Atheist, Jews and everyone else for that matter is that it is all based on faith and belief and that not one of them can be proved or disproved. It does not get any more common than that

I agree. there are various stuff theists and atheists have n concern-loose. as long through fact the non secular point of view isn't pushed into the political section, nor into colleges, i'm completely chuffed to stay alongside them with none conflict. My spouse is a Christian, I have no concern with that (different than bewilderment, on account that she is an extremely sensible woman) shop your faith to your self and we will get alongside merely superb.

The higher level of education one gets, the less likely the individual is to believe that the Bible is the actual, literal word of God. Those with a high school education or less are most likely to believe in a literal Bible (42 percent) compared to 20 percent of college graduates and 11 percent of post graduates. Someone with a lower education level is also least likely to believe the Bible is the inspired word of God with 41 percent of Americans with a high school education or less holding that belief compared to 57 percent of post graduates.
This is from a Theist site.
Atheist.

I think the only common ground is an agreement that Scientology is nuts.

Not a random sample. You might as well laugh at NBA players' self-reported "heights".
