Sort of; without Him we would be dead.

And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.

So even the Scriptures tell you - get a life.

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

We would all die in our sins without God.
Ezekial 18 says "The soul that sins shall die"
But the soul who has accepted Jesus Christ as their Savior, will live eternally.
We are all LOST without Christ! We are all headed for hell without Him!
There is nothing more important than our eternal salvation in Him! Sin is serious, and it needs to be forgiven in order to receive the kingdom of God, for God is Holy and Just. We must be cleansed, made new- born again in Jesus Christ to inherit the kingdom of God.
And this life is passing fast.....this life does not last. It is temporary. What is more important, your eternal home or your temporary one?
Because there are only TWO places one will end up after this life- without Christ they will end up in hell- with Jesus Christ in their life, they will receive Heaven.
It is very simple. The gospel of Jesus Christ is very simple, and God has made a way for us to be with Him-- through Jesus Christ, when He died and rose again....he defeated death- and set those free, who believe in Him and who WILL believe in Him.
Only Jesus could of done this- in Acts it says there is no other name under Heaven by which we must be saved. It is all about Jesus! Not us! I am glad I have the Lord in my life....I am so very thankful!

God gives us something to look forward to after death. Which is more optimistic: 1. die, decompose, disappear forever. 2. Go to heaven, meet Elvis ??

Are you an atheist?

*shudder* I thought we taught you all how to spell! Eek.

And it's historically demonstrated that when people don't have answers to things that scare them, they need a supernatural reason...the pursuit of knowledge does not seem stimulating to some.

It's because their parents never taught them to make any of their own decisions, so they have to keep referring to a manual for guidance.
