its probably either a tick or an absess. If its a tick don't just pull it out, if you pull it out the ticks legs and mouthparts can get stuck in the cats skin and this can easily become infected. You can buy tick removal creams at a petshop, these kill the tick over 24 hours so it just falls off. If its an absess it may just bust and go down but it could also become infected and turn into a very nasty infection. Just keep an eye on it and any sign of infection go straight to a vet.

This "thing" could be a tick. If there is red stuff coming out of it, it could be the blood from the tick who may be dead if this is happening.
Since you do not know for sure if it is a tick...to remove the critter, get some alcohol on a Q-tip and dap it on the "tick" this may loosen the grip that it had on the cat. If there is no response...watch it carefully. Get a magnifying glass...can you see tiny legs? if so it is a tick...get a good grip on it and pull it off. If no legs it could be a wart or mole. This may require a vet's attention.

Is it a wound? Is the skin broken?
Is it something stuck to the fur and not the skin?
Is it something stuck on both the skin and fur?
If it's a wound, it should be looked at. If it's stuck to the fur and skin, can it be brushed off or washed off with a hot, wet washcloth?
Is there anything moving in it? Large lumps? (That would be a tick). If it's a tick, put a drop of rubbing alcohol on it or coat it with nail polish or nail polish remover--any of these will make the bug start to suffocate and it'll let go to back out of the hole it made. When it comes out, flush it down the toilet, don' t put it in the garbage.

Take your cat to a vet NOW!!! This sounds very serious. If the wound on your cat's head isn't treated promptly, it may become infected, which will worsen the condition of the wound.
If you don't have the money to pay the vet, you can ask to make small, monthly payments towards the cost of the treatment. Most vets do this. If your vet won't accept monthly installments, find another vet who will. You can also call your local ASPCA or similar organization and bring your cat in for treatment.
Good luck to you and your kitty.

Well, hold a very warm face cloth to whatever it is, and see if you can remove it. Sometimes acesses burst, and if no one notices, it matts the fur and drains a kind of yellow-red fliud- which is pus. It also smells.
If it is tick-size, then a tick may have burrowed in- if you hold a hot match (not lit) to it it may come out.
Engorged ticks will sometimes leak fluid.

Lubricate her head with butter or oil and attempt to slip her out. If that doesn't paintings, you will have no selection yet to interrupt it. i'm guessing that if it is tight adequate for her to be caught in, she would be in a position to not be waiting to breath ok. i might smash the tip of the vase off to create a respiration hollow then take her to the vet. The vet provides her a sedative to calm her down so she does not get injured whilst they take something of the vase off. adverse kitty! let us know the way it is going.
