I like Michael Moore for several reasons, all come with the disclaimer that his work is propaganda. His latest and best known films are clearly one sided. So what! Who says films are supposed to be balanced and objective? The informed public knows what they will get if they go to "Sicko" or "Fahrenheit 9-11". His films are in your face and provocative. He is what democracy is all about: free speech and exposing dishonesty, stupidity and the social norms of the day. If he were a conservative Republican who glorified Mr. Bush, slammed government intervention in Americans' lives or did a documentary on how guns have saved thousands of lives in America then progressive thinkers would be outraged. There are posters here that "hate" MM because of his views and they call him a groundhog and a traitor. How does an idea ever get into your fortress like minds? Your ideas have merit but your hatred only exposes your prejudices and ignorance. His work is propaganda - it's that simple but it is still important. I think that I like him most because he is courageous but I certainly don't agree with everything he has to say! He is not against American values or the "American Dream". He asks questions and proposes alternative truths that most in the media and in government and the unthinking publc do not want discussed. Silence Michael Moore and democracy suffers. His voice and the voices of critics must be heard loud and clear. Many who hate him are playing partisan politics and just do not like to hear a viewpoint that is different than their own.

Yes I like him. He calls attention to problems in America and promotes action and discussion which is needed in a democracy!
The American people could all have health insurance if they get together and demonstrate and lobby for it. Health care should not be left over to big business.
How does the health care make money? By treating the sick. I do not think they would be involved in helping people stay healthy!! (health awareness, diet, exercise, preventive check ups..etc).
It is about time someone brought up problems in America and presented them on the national traquilizer(TV). America has to wake up and get active in politics in their county, state, nation and world! Micheal Moore has got the ball rolling, so lets help push it!

PS: all those people that called M. Moore a liar must be rich stock holders in companies that Mr. Moore complained about. I have not heard of many people or companies sueing him for his "lies".

I do like Michael Moore. He is one of the few people in America who tries to represent the working class and stand up for their rights. Unfortunately too many Americans even the working class believe what they are told on popular media and don't really understand the issues or know the facts. They base their opinions on hype and bias as many of the opinions expressed here are. Michael Moore doesn't try to hide the fact that he is coming from a particular point of view and he doesn't try to lie that he is "fair and balanced" as they do on FOX news. However, his facts are acurate but he doesn't try to present the opposing view (he leaves that up to FOX). We live in a democracy with a constitutionally assured right to free speech. Michael Moore is practicing that right and says some things that no one else is saying and for that I admire him.

Yes, he is wonderful. He really brought many thought to our attention. It is not wether facts are right... but more providing us with a forum for us to decide what is right. I heard from some friends that after the Sicko movie, the people stood in the lobby and said lets all get together and start looking at our local health care to ensure we have what we need.
I admire that he is bold and caring!

Michael Moore is the world's best Propagandamentarian. Joseph Goebels would be so proud of his work. I can't stand the (I would get reported to YA for saying exactly what I think of him) he's a bad man and a liar.

Yes an no.

I admire the fact that he brings attention to important subjects our government ignores.

Having said that,I find that he can just flat lie at times."Bowling For Columbine" was a pretty blatant piece of anti-gun agit-prop.

Even though I believe that there should be Stricter gun-control laws,I don't think the impetus for them should be based on disingenuous "information".

Do I like being fed propaganda? NO!

Do I like being lied to? NO!

Do I like the idea of my country descending into socialism? NO!

Therefore, I can't stand Michael Moore. His values are not the same values that America was built upon.

Yes, he does some really hard work on his research into the topics he chooses. He presents it in a reasonable fashion an he cares about the outcome. He also is not afraid to stand up to others...a very admirable trait.

He should stick to documentaries where he's willing to show both sides. He's very talented at manipulation and if he does lose his job- he'd make a good car salesman.

I absolutely despise Michael Moore. He is a liar, hates America and it's values, puts forth a bunch of garbage to stir up the haters and is a despicable human being. I wouldn't watch anything he is associated with.
