I reverted because it made more sense to me then any other religion in the world and I wanted to get right with God by worshiping only God not Jesus(PBUH*) as a God. Plus I listened to my heart.

You can see video clips of dr.zakir naik on youtube and also you can read the book 'quran and modern science' available on net.INSHALLAH you'd get your answer .Yes, ISLAM is the correct religion. And before pointing out mistakes in any religion you must learn it first. No Verse of QURAN teaches killing of innocent people or other bad deeds. But teaches the only solution for human life. And also don't get confused between Muslims and Islam , always know that Islam is perfect, but Muslims are not. Brother the only thing make you understand is one and only QURAN , we cannot produce stuff on our own and tell it to you that's Haraam (prohibited) . Quran is the word of god.its up to you whether you accept it or not , it would benefit no one but you.

Reverts to Islam? I think that means someone who was already Muslim, left, and then came back? Not someone who converted into Islam from something else.
Anyway, you're asking converts to Islam why they did it, right? What were their motivations, emotional (it spoke to their heart and soul) or intellectual (it spoke to their logical minds), or both?
Interesting question, I'd say that for anyone, not just Muslims, who converts into any religion, it would be for both reasons.

yes qiyamah
you are using it right i agree and i m one of those who are calling convert is not the right term to those who get into Islam
revert is a quranic word
it is that you born Muslim in nature if it happened that you are raised in different religion than the nature ,revert is the right word to use in order to describe those who come to Islam
i even go further than that
many Muslims of those who were born Muslims for a reason or another they do not practice the religion as a Muslim should
to be more accurate many Muslims live in the west and good % of them go living the western life including drinks, girlfriend or boyfriend, and that sort of living, i m not saying that he stopped being muslim, not at all ,he is a muslim.
but i call him revert once he comes back to the 5 times praying.keeping ramadan....

I really like the idea of a "revert"; the concept that everyone is born Muslim and may choose to go back to their innate beliefs at a later point in their life, rather than a "convert" who takes on new beliefs.
I'm not religious at all, but it's just a nice way of looking at it.
ak6702 open up your mind and learn a bit about your OWN religion as well as someone else's. Muslims consider Jesus (and Moses and the Buddha as well) to be prophets who played an important part in the development of Islam. Try to show at least a tiny bit of respect for a figure who almost a billion people worship as a god. Allah is NOT satan (with a big or little 's') and I'm not sure what you are trying to prove by suggesting he that is.

Peace
Revert back to submission that you where born with.. not convert.. you had it right in the question but then you flipped it in the answer.
Proof is in the hand, that is what is needed to hold the light from the heart all the way to eternal peace inshAllah. Allah SWT minasha.. he does all that work when you walk to him. Read the book! Oh those who believe.... and then he gives orders, glad tidings and warnings. Allah SWT does that work.
