Your body will naturally get rid of it with time. It is not at all harmful to you.~

They told me milk of magnesia. That didn't work well. Have you tried laxatives? Miralax is great, with no spasms or cramps--just puts a lot of liquid in your digestive tract so stool just slides through. Benefiber is good too.

I wouldn't think it was overly harmful, since it's just sitting there not doing anything.

Would your doctor prescribe a cleansing routine? That might make your condition worse. I'm not really very well versed about diverticulitis.

I had a barium enema a number of years ago. Recent abdominal x-rays & ultrasounds show no sign of the barium.

But from now on, they can put me to sleep or give me a epidural. That was the nastiest, most uncomfortable medical procedure I have ever experienced, next to my MD looking for a colon polyp with a scope 8" up my ***--no anesthesia, no sedatives, no nothing. I'd rather have a baby any day.

Sorry I don't know any more about this. Hope you feel better.

Lots and lots of water. It will take awhile to get out of the diverticuli.
