Is it even worth it, anymore, to ask questions here in religion and spirituality?

I don't mind answers that disagree with my viewpoint.

But, I DO mind when the answerer completely disregards the question.

Someone just answered my honest question, that bothered me throughout the day, until I could come home to ask it, by informing me that I look like an emo clown in my avatar picture. As a side note in their answer, that's fine; I'd probably find it funny, even, but when they don't even bother to consider my question, but answer it anyway, therefore wasting the time it will take me to read it, it's quite annoying....

I'm sorry that you were attacked by a troll... but I'm sure you're a strong person! Don't let them get you down. The trolls are here to threaten, harass, and insult anyone in their path. They are probably, pimply-faced little brats sitting at home with nothing better to do, then to look forward to being the next una-bomber.

Don't give them the satisfaction they want of it bothering you. Just report them OR ignore them. That's what I do and it works for me. Take care!

I hear you. I read the questions and then read the answers and think, what world are they in

It's called not taking the time to read the whole question and do a little thinking before answering. People dwell on only part of the question and not the whole question. That's why the answers are only half answered and then they have to add criticism. Hay, people you can do better.

Not to waste your time, but most people don't even read through the entire question.

Or better yet, why answer a question that you don't know the answer to or are so uneducated about the subject that your post is mind numbingly naive?

I'm sorry....I read that answer after I posted mine to that question. I do think it is annoying when people post answers just to get the points and do not actually give anything close to an answer to the question asked.

OK to answer your question then.....Jesus did not commit suicide (he was murdered...if you read that far) and I think God knew what he was doing, he didn't ask the Romans to throw him up on the cross. But what do you expect when you ask questions on here? You get a lot of sarcasm, a few real remarks, and opinions (whether they matter or not) if you can't take criticism....go cry your make up off! Don't expect to actually be taken seriously in yahoo answers.

It is quite disrespectful, but of course it's something that we can't control.

There are disrespective people who are Athiests, Christians, Jews, Muslims, Mormons, JW's and all other religions. We just need to learn to forgive them.

worth while asking if you're looking for the truth of the Gospel of Christ Jesus, His death, burial and resurrection. He died for our sins, Romans 4:25, buried with our sins and left it in His grave and resurrected that we may have new life in Him (be Born Again in the Spirit of God), that we maybe like Lord Jesus someday when are all glorified in Him. Lord Jesus Christ will come again to gather His own; Rev 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Finally, why worry if some despises you! For as long as you're honest in looking for the truth, why bother to criticism? Let your heart be filled with humility;
Col 2:23 Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honor to the satisfying of the flesh.

Ive grown a pretty thick skin in R & S

Some of the other sections in Y! are harsh and cruel as well. (filled with harsh, disrespectful people)

Remember, people reflect their inside when they speak online.

He who speaks a bad word, owns it.

If it made you laugh, maybe it was still worth it. After all, you didn't get your question answered, but now you are too happy to care.
