Sorry, but as a student of history I've seen what happens when either individual people or entire civilizations accept anything as true without supporting evidence. Our ancient ancestors accepted both Plato's Idealism and Aristotle's Solipsism as true without proof and it caused all of Western Civilization, including Christianity, to get off to a false start. Modern people know that thinking does not require telepathic communication with the gods and that human perception is not the basis of reality. Nevertheless, because our ignorant ancestors believed such unlikely codswallop was true, there has been unimaginable human suffering for nearly two thousand years. History is filled with countless examples of human suffering caused by religious belief.

Personally, I think people who believe in God represent a serious threat to the survival of human civilization. Why? ...because believers uncritically accept the ignorant superstitions of the past as if they were valid fact and thus cannot be trusted to behave in a responsible manner in our own times. The future of our species is far more important than perpetuating the mythologies and superstitions of our ignorant ancient ancestors.

Why do I need proof? ...because I'm an ethically responsible moral human being.

I don't believe God created the earth or the universe. i don't believe he created people, plants etc. Jesus was a spiritual master and not the beginning or ending of anything. I don't believe in Satan or Hell another christian thing. Jesus is dead, he may have been reincarnated as another spiritual master but the master he was died. Jesus isn't a savior. Keep your christian witchcraft of pray to yourself. Jesus' blood died up a long long time ago. My soul is safe and will be reborn again when it chooses.

Inanna love you! I don't need to pray nor be saved. I'm not a christian.

Goddess bless you!!!

Fear mongering isn't a good way to show what a good christian you are.

ok, kiddo... I'll try to answer you...

blind faith does not require proof... but with blind faith it is easy to be mislead

true faith is where you believe an unproven claim based on prior experience that the claimant is trustworth... i.e. proof of enough of the claimants other statements.

you are not offering any proof of anything, just empty threats and empty promises of escape from the empty threats....

the best proof of god that any believer can ever offer is that of a life changed... but that is not possible except when there is a dramatic turnaround, and then it can only be given to those who have seen the other side. the second best proof is in a good, upbeat attitude when everything around you is "going to hell", but again, that can really only to given to those who know you personally.

preaching on the internet does nothing... except piss people off.

please, stop with the preaching, and just make a difference in the lives of those close to you...

this is the last time I will actually answer you... I'll just be silly again for hereon in.

Your faith and belief does not equate proof in my eyes. Just because you say it is so doesn't make it so. I happen to not believe in the same things as you do.
The FSM created the universe, galaxies, planets, animals, plants, waters and humans. THAT is your proof. Look around...do you not see it? FSM is everywhere you look! How can you say your god did it when it was clearly the FSM responsible for all of creation? You just have to have faith and believe.

Also, my soul is not loose. I just tightened it with a screwdriver this morning. And it is t-h-e-i-r, as in showing personal ownership. T-h-e-r-e is a noun designating a place, as in "not here, but there".

Many blessings to you as well but how many times a day are you going to do the same thing? I feel like you are reassuring yourself more than anything. I like Jesus and honor him as a spiritual ancestor but mostly due to the Gnostic gospels. Anyhow, it's a bit crimmsonandcloverish only nice.

For obvious reasons- how would we know if the Christian God was the right choice? He doesn't look any better than any other God to me- in fact a lot of others Gods are supposed to be a lot nicer and don't threaten me with Hell to try to make me believe. I don't give into threats.

Some offer me a false choice between salvation through belief in savior power to pay for sins or condemnation through disbelief. I believe this is a false choice because this choice is based on the lie that myth is truth. I reject the lie that myth is truth and accept the truth that myth is myth. Based on the truth that myth is myth, I make myth and fantasy that produces in my mind the most powerful emotional responses of joy, faith and love imaginable. I believe my soul has been saved, is saved, and always will be saved by the love freely given to my soul by the spirit of an infinity, divinity, eternally one.

Bull$hit. Prove it. Prove a person called Jesus even existed? Prove hell exists. Prove god is omniscient. Prove anything at all.

I'm in the drug research field. Do you think that we can release a drug to the public without testing it for YEARS to make sure that it is safe without a shred of doubt?? Why would I devote my life to something that I can't prove beyond a shadow of a doubt? I have a higher standard than that for a job that I don't even love.

There are plenty of Gods that are believed to have created the earth. Having faith just because is stupid.
