It's not really a stupid question at all and yes, souls fall into hell like snowflakes. Hell cannot be overcrowded because it is a state of being not a physical place although some early church fathers have thought that hell is inside of the earth. The universe is very vast and can hold a lot of souls! Hell is right next to me and you although because we do not have second vision, we can't see it and because we have not died yet, we can't experience it....or heaven.. Heaven is also right next to me and you. Hell exists in a 4th dimension.

must be! For God said; Rom 3:10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: Ecc 7:20 For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not.

And finally God said; Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Amen.

Hell and the final abode of the lost, the Lake of Fire are two different places. No one right now is in the Lake of Fire. The lost are in hell, or Hades (Greek), or Sheol (Hebrew) the temporary place awaiting the final judgment and the second death, the Lake of Fire. God ached to think his creation would follow Satan into the Lake of Fire that God created for Satan and his angels. Yet His divine judgment based on His holiness, as much as He loves man, can not overlook sin. So God sent His Son to be the substitutionary sacrifice that would suffer the penalty of sin in our place. God demonstrates His great love for us in that while we were great sinners, Christ died for us, in our place. He died for all men. This gift of salvation can only be received by faith. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved. Sadly only those who despise this great act of love by God , and refuse to accept the sacrifice of Christ on his behalf, will have to face God without the sacrifice, on his own, now having to pay the penalty for his own sins, which is the second death. The Lake of Fire seems to be endless. God does not want anyone to be lost; He wants all people to be saved. He paid a huge price to buy our freedom from the second death. How awful to somehow turn that gift down.

There is no such place as hell. The concept of hell and eternal torment are incompatible with the true nature of our Loving God.

God is pure Love, the source of all love and joy in the universe. When you make loving choices in your life you are drawn closer to God. When you make fearful and hateful choices you are removed further away from God. Being removed from the source of all joy and love in the universe is the closest thing there is to "hell".

God has given you the gift of this thrill ride of physical life precisely so you can make these choices. He waits with eternal patience and infinite love for you to choose Him by choosing to love all of His creation even as He does.

So we make our own "hell" by choosing NOT to love All, and thereby remaining removed from the direct presence of God.

This was the message Jesus brought. This is why he loved even those who tortured him to death. This is why he ascended to the Father. He was showing you the way home to God.

Not yet. I used to think 144,000 was an absurdly small number of the righteous (in Revelations). Now I wonder the opposite?: where will all the righteous come from? Hell will be large.

Hell is there to scare you into behaving properly. It takes a certain brand of ignorance and lack of empathy to believe that anything you can do in your brief stay on this planet could warrant an eternity of pain.

The Reverand is correct. Hell expands itself.

God knew who would go to hell before He made it, so the size is just right.

As more particles are placed in a constant volume, pressure and temperature rise.

That's why hell is so hot!

Not a stupid question at all. Hell does expand itself.
