Albert Einstein called Nationalism the "MEASLES OF HUMAN SOCIETY" !

Sir Isaac Newton was TOTALLY AGAINST the Whole Idea of their Being a Trinity ! ! !

Both of the ABOVE Mentioned Names had the BEST Scientific Brains of the LAST 2000 YEARS ! ! !

For the most part they were against the organised religions.

Some were atheists while others were deists (many of the founders of the US although there was no explanation for how life arose back then) or pantheists (Einstein).

At the very least they considered Christianity wrong and often harmful.

I think some of them had deistic tendencies, although all of the people on that list would have considered themselves either atheists or agnostics. Some of them are a little iffy, but yeah, if you're asking for one straight answer, I'd say Atheists.
And please, they didn't have Jesus in their hearts; if they had that, their torsos would have exploded by his size. I mean, heartworms kill dogs after a while, so just imagine what Jesus would do if he got in there.

I am atheist myself but I want to point out that argument from authority is a weak argument no matter which side uses it.

Those people did make excellent arguments against theism though in their writings and speech.
