Heavy cream (also sold as Heavy Whipping Cream) is in the the dairy case/aisle near the canned whipped creams.
Heavy cream contains at least 36% dairy fat, while whipping cream/light whipping cream contains anywhere from 30% to 36% dairy fat.

Heavy cream is cream that has some of the milk solids removed so that the butterfat content is increased. Typically the fat content is about 30-31% but sometimes I've seen it as low as 26%. It can make some very tastey dished. It is also called whipping cream because there is enough fat to be able to whip it into a foam. If you try to whip it be sure to used a cold bowl and very clean utensiles or you will break the emulsion. Hope this helps.
