The box cake calls for 1 1/3 cup water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil. I accidentally put in 1 1/3 cup oil and 1/2 cup water.
I haven't baked it yet - is it going to be gross? Should I just toss it?

Add another cup of water, plus another cup or so of flour (til it's the right consistency), a 1/2 tsp baking powder, an egg and a few drops of vanilla. You'll have extra cake that way (1/2 box, 1/2 homemade!)

You can add three additional cups of flour the correct amount of water and three more eggs and you should have another box mix worth. Plus a tablespoon of baking powder and a half cup of sugar. If you don't have all that and the pans to bake two more layers of cake .TOSS IT!

I know too much oil, isn't good the water ok but the mixture would be really liquidy so just toss it and do it again good luck!

You could mix in another cake mix. Then you'd have a little too much oil, but probably it would just make it really moist. And the best part is, you'd have twice as much cake! :)

If you can't scoop out some of the oil I would pitch it and start over.

yeah, it's not going to be puffy
and it's going to be slimy, if the oil doesnt catch on fire /start boiling and melt everything else
