DIE HARD fans like every aspect of NASCAR. I watch qualifying when I can. I like practice runs too. I watch the interviews in the garages and everything I can learn about NASCAR.
Why do people watch pre season football or basketball? Most of the time the starters play just a little with 2nd and 3rd string trying to earn their place. Or the teams are trying new plays and taking risks they wouldn't take normally in a "real" game. Preseason doesn't mean anything...
What??? I didn't hear that.... Oh it give you an idea of how they are going to play in the upcoming season? And let's you know how players are doing? Sort of like how a driver's car might be set up, how they are doing on a track, and what kind of lap times they are putting down?
But you go watch the paint dry on your mailbox... maybe somebody will write you a letter and tell you your life does have some meaning.

OMG- If your not a fan, leave your opinions to yourself- hell I love Nascar, been to races, and even Eldora and watch some good old dirt track racing- qualifying is all part of the process, if u understand the sport u would know. It's all about starting positions for the main race. At least they are not falling on top of each other and slapping the other guys behind!

I will watch the races but I usually don't watch thequalifying. I will watch college football but sometimes ESPN will re-broadcast some of the local games in my area but I won't watch them again either. I like Texas Hold Em Poker, but is it a sport & I was channel surfing one day last week & ESPN had a Scrabble Championship on tv. Now that's entertainment people, not

Is ESPN the only channel that can come in clearly on your TV? I get like 300 channels...move out of the 1950's.
they have been showing qualifying on speed for years, if they were not getting the ratings, they wouldn't show it.
I recorded qualifying on my DVR to watch it, if you don't like it go back to the political blogs and toss a Cheney salad.

If you don't like what's on ESPN, there's always the Simpsons reruns on the other channel. It's not that hard to pick up a remote.

Every channel is owned by like 9 companies. They don't want to blow their wad on the early timeslots. They put every show they have faith in evening slots. The rest of the time it's reruns. Get your money out of the old stuff, so you don't have to spend money making new stuff.

Well if your on the same cable system as I am then your have 276 more stations to choose from.
If not then I'm sure you can play "tiddle-e-winks" waiting for the Geritol to take effect.
