1Ti 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1Ti 2:10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.

We are born in sin and shaped in iniquity while yet in our mothers womb. So how can wearing jewelry be that when we came naked and naked we will leave?
Sin is the act of transgressions against the commands of a Holy God. Did God put not wearing jewelry as a sin in the commandments? We don't and can't keep the Commandments of God any way! Only to be kept by Jesus and the Power of His love, do we make it.
Read 1 Timothy 2:8-10. It means what it says. We as women can get catty and try and make a competition of best dressed or who looks good in the church. Or may come to church or out in public with hoochie doochie clothes on like a hooker! God know the heart but man look at the outward appearance.

It is not a sin to wear jewelry but the Apostle Paul wrote that the true beauty of a woman comes from what she has inside. I guess if one goes overboard with jewelry or covets someone else's jewels, than you may have something to think about. But there is nothing wrong with adornments done in moderation. Just allow your true beauty to come out too!

The Bible does not specifically say that jewelry is a sin. But it DOES say that if you base your value on these things, or if you use your jewelry to show off or try to demonstrate that you are better than anyone else because of all your jewelry, then it IS a sin.
In other words, the sin comes in your attitude, not in the jewelry itself.

I will not go to church looking like an unmade bed.
I am a woman and I like my shoes & purse to match, I like to wear earrings sometimes or a favorite necklace. Maybe I'll leave my wedding ring at home. ha ha j/k
No, I do not think jewelry is a sin. People should look their best. For that matter I love wearing makeup, too.

Absolutely not.
Mostly because I don't believe in sin - I believe in taking responsibility for your own actions. And there really isn't much (if any) consequence in wearing jewelry, other than the occasional infected piercing.

I'd go with the "No god, no sin" answer, but since that's been said, let's try this: God (if he exists) is an infinite being, whose thoughts are infinitely higher than ours, so why would he be concerned about something so trivial as clothes, hair, or jewelry? Most of the commandments are bout social thinng i.e. how to get along with each other and dietary measures (taking care of your self). Physical looks/fashion are not important.

Salam
Pending on what your wearing, women can pretty much wear anything as long as its not an idol of sorts or worshiped.
Men can only wear silver.
Any man wearing gold Muslim or not brings on the Jinn to them and they say "come on down" to their friends.
There is more than enough of that in the kingdom of heaven, and its never flawed and a man named Joshua with a glass eyeball is not selling it. LOL!
warning: Jewelry with cross or Jesus on it is idol worship.
also the name of Allah SWT should not be warn in the place where your nature is calling.
I always wonder why they are showing off so much, what is the intention?

No wearing jewelry is not against God's will. It is when you choose the jewelry over God that is the sin.
Paul was telling Christian women to not concentrate so much on your outer appearance with gold, and fancy hairdos, etc. but to clothe yourself spiritually with goodness and kindness that would reflect true inner beauty. The world emphasizes how you look on the outside only. Remember the saying "Beauty is as beauty does."

No. I do not think wearing a moderate amount is bad, but if you are decking yourself with jewelry just to get noticed more I don't think that is good. A little bit is pretty, but a lot makes you stand out. i don't like the gawdy look.

It certainly would not be a "sin" for Greta Van Susteren to wear a bit of jewelry.
