Not getting enough needed nutrients leading to thin weak bones. Mostly older people get it, like grandparent old, but it is possible to contract at younger ages.

Hi- The best way to explain Osteoporosis is to look up the following sites. My Grandmother had it, and had tiny fractures in her spinal area. She was "hunched back"- She was in chronic pain, God Bless Her! Here are some sites. Hope they help. Good luck and take care! Good question.

osteopOrosis (note the correct spelling) is a condition where the bones become thin and porous due to lack of nutrients, generally calcium, a common occurrence with the elderly.
