Just sounds like could get annoying to others. If you want to change this habit. Just stop yourself everytime you say it and remind yourself to not use the word. You will find that about 28-30 reminders is probably all you need to stop. I have done this personally and have found it to work. Actually do it right now with the OMG phrase.

Everyone has a word that they say a lot. For example; you have to have heard girls that say "Like, I was doing this, and like..." over and over right? Or the guys that say "Dude, you gotta just, do this dude..."

So you say "buddy" a lot. It could be a completely more annoying or worse word.

no not at all...in fact I think it's a good thing....maybe if you find yourself saying it all of the time, just simply tone it down a little bit, maybe cut your "buddy" speak in half? You don't have to stop saying it, don't worry about it....people probably like it actually, you're fine......best of luck!

you don't have a problem saying that- you probably can't remember peoples names very well though, so you use that. It does seem to be a little sarcastic sounding though. ya think,buddy.... lol

You've adapted "Buddy" as your catchpharse. Everybody ends up getting stuck with a catchphrase. Mine is "I.D.K"
Don't worry, you don't have a problem, buddy!

It's a habbit or a mannerism. Something that you are used to saying. It's just like addiction, it's hard to stop.

I don't think it's a "problem" just a quirk. I didn't realize i was saying "that's crazy" constantly until my boss pointed it out!.
