I didn't understand it (the season premiere), well the end of it with Hilda and Santos. Like he's there one second and then like in the next scene Hilda's all alone crying in her bed. And she tells Betty that Santos is gone and that it was the first time she said that. Now did he die or like did he go somewhere? Please explain what happened to me. And if he did just leave, why?

He was shot last season. There was a robbery at a gas station or something. And she like imagined he was there that whole episode I guess... but he really died.

I saw most of the episode. It seems like Hilda was dreaming/imagining that Santos was alive after the shooting because she was in a denial. Betty came in the room to ask her if she wants to help with dinner and told her that he is gone. She also mentioned that as a way of saying that Henry is gone and its time to move on.

Santos was shot and I think Hilda was day dreaming cause she really want him by her side. I am not sure why the Character of Santos was taking out of the show but I really think he is not coming back. It is really sad.

They made it seem like Santos was alive and with her in her room but it was all just fake. Hilda must have been wishing that was the truth but in reality she was grieving in her room over the loss of Santos. My question was why Justin seemed fine and all happy about Mode and everything.

Santos is dead :-(..all the scenes where they showed Hilda & him talking and stuff was all going on in her head..he was never really there

He died the night he was shot. Hilda is grieving in her room and won't come out. She has been fantasizing that he is still alive and as long as she stays in her room with her imagination, he will be alive to her. When he "left" she came to her senses.
Probably now, the show's writers plan on her slow recovery. "Saying it" was the first step.

he died and she was just dreaming about santos being there . It was very sad and I felt so bad that I started crying . I felt bad that betty has to hold everyone together and is it any wonder why her blood pressure is high . good luck

At the end of the last season he got shot and the police went and told her at her son's play. He did die. She was just dreaming that he was still there.
At first I was like whoa he is alive. And then wondered how come they made it seem like he has died last season.
