There have been several moments in my life when I thought as you did. I am so troubled by your question that I feel almost helpless to respond in a meaningful way. It takes me back to times, places and events that I would rather not revisit.
However, a couple of decades later, I am on the other side. And not through my own efforts. It was only when I became so low, so helpless that I cried out to God in my pain and in my despair that the way forward presented itself.
Life without God is pointless. Life with God has meaning and purpose. What can I tell you? I'm going to pray for you now, otherwise I won't be able to sleep tonight for worrying. Just hang on in there, friend. You are not alone.

If you hate life, read the 4 Gospels, and you will at least know why you hate it. Then rejoice for Jesus said if you do the true commandments of God the Father, you will hate the world, and the world will hate you. But remember you can not take a life, not even your own, or you will break a commandment of God the Father, you must endure until the end.
Peace be with you, read Matthew 5:10-16, it helps me when I feel my life is pointless.

nope, I managed to get out of that hole when I turned my back on Christianity - and Im not just saying that because i want to gain some kind of point against them (even though that can be fun).
There is something missing in your life or something that is causing you to feel this way and only you can decide what it is.
It's a problem that you can solve but it required some thought and a bit of getting your @rse in gear to do something about it.
If you having problems getting motivation then put on some really good music - whether depressing, rock your socks or or pop, whatever floats your boat.... just take some time with a good album and think stuff through, doodle, write some cheesy songs tear a cardboard tubes into thousands of tiny pieces, just preoccupy your hands and ponder your problems.
Think outside your head.
I always sound cheesy as hell when I say stuff like this, but going through this kind of mental crap can be cheesy and you'll laugh at it from the other end a few years down the line.
I dont hate life, I can hate the majority of people for most of the time but I have realised that being a massively active member of society simply isnt for me... I lead a quiet life and Im happier now than ever.
I found that the unanswerable questions of religion drove me mad, the wishy washy logic of the people at that church made me seethe and the hypocrisy of them well lets just say if I had acted out my wishes upon them I wouldn't be a free person. Now that I'm rid of those indescribable idiots and the dogma of religion i have solved my problems and I feel free.
Find your bone and bury it.

give your life some meaning!, you are only 16 years old, i'm 31 years old and i can empathise 'cause at your age i too was a disaffected, unhappy teenager with little going for me. In other words, forget about the tosh your force fed in school, your parents, cliquish girls and the media. View your life from this moment on as an endless voyage of self discovery, be independent, in every way. Immerse yourself in things that make you tick, strive for contentment. And once you've done all this, put your hand out and pull someone else out the water! Compassion, tolerance, dignity etc cetera. Be hopeful, it's soo hard. And head down to your local library and get yourself a copy of "Catcher in the Rye", by JD Salinger. I hope this helps, strive to be useful to yourself and others you will encounter on the way...Best....

the longer you dwell on your question you will not see anything in life that is good or worth while, if you just relax and take notice of things around you and stop being so synical you will see that there is so many things in life that are beautifull like some one you love or something,
just look at people around you and try to figue out why they enjoy life, and if that doesn't work than think of life as an experience you will never forget so live life to the full.

I used to, I had depression and had to take tablets to stop me killing myself.
To be honest, the tablets were doing a great job. Then I met Jesus and got healed of depression in an instant. That was five years ago and I don't take tablets any more, and life has a point. It is to know Jesus and be in a relationship with Him. Not all believe this is possible, or desirable, but all who know Him will tell you this is not just possible, it is what you are made for. Call on the name of Jesus, He will help if you let him.

Purpose comes from what you are part of. If you feel life is pointless, then try connecting more to your family, church, community, clubs, activism, etc. Try cutting down on self-indulgent acts. Find the balance.

It sounds like you need to invite Christ into your heart, forgive your sins and make you into a new person. He will!
Then you won't hate life anymore, and your life will now have purpose, because you will be living for the Lord instead of living for yourself.

I'm sure some people do...but no, I don't. Life has great purpose when you know Christ. That doesn't mean your life will always be great, but with God you can always make use of all that happens to you.
