Where exactly do you draw the line at "very bad, evil"? Do you mean you never think you'd like to wring some little punk's neck or do you mean worse things like twisted thoughts about killing babies or the like? I frankly can't believe for one second that anyone could claim to never have a bad thought. I have to assume you mean REALLY bad thoughts. Right? What's the worst thought you've had short of "very bad, evil" thoughts?

I think in the context of the question, it's quite possible that people are being honest. I don't recall ever having a really nice daydream and then suddenly having bad/evil thoughts just pop into my head.
I have at one time wanted to kill someone, but the thought did not just pop into my head while I was thinking of something pleasant.

During my life I have had some very horrible thoughts I simply do not act on them..

Just the other day I had a "WHOPPER" on a bad thought... I was taking my husbands grandmother shopping sh had spent the entire trip complaining about everything (the weather, people, the sky being blue... you get the idea she was in a complaining mood)...

As we were riding the escalator from the top level of the mall to the bottom I thought "I should shove her down the stairs so the complaining will stop." I only had the thought for a split second I didn't act on it... I did smile for a second at the thought then I went on escorting her around the mall listening to her battery of complaints....

Sometimes a thought similar to that is a relief valve... It allows you to blow some steam off in your head so you can go on dealing with a person who is making it very difficult to deal with them...

Now I just smile the next shopping trip is not my job but my sister-in-laws... I will gladly take care of her 3 children under age 4 so I don't have to go shopping with the complainer LOL...

I'm not saying I've never had anything resembling a bad thought. But my thoughts really don't run to much worse than smacking someone who's really rude, or things like that. I don't have thoughts that would really fit the word "evil".

And as for where they come from...they come from my head. They don't come from magical boogeymen. Sometimes it's just a form of stress-relief. You smack the person in your mind, and then you're less tempted to do it in reality.

Thoughts are just thoughts. The examples you just gave made us make me think what "very bad, evil" things you could possibly mean. Now everyone who has read both of these questions have gone from possibly pleasant thoughts, to "very bad, evil" thoughts since we had to think about what constituted "very bad" and "evil". So what?

The original (linked) question was totally stupid.

The brains "theory technique." Reasoning, determination making, and "performing out" responses. people who're mentally unwell, schizophrenic, say, are specifically circumstances without the skill to decide for or "reason" between what could be irrelevant or a "undesirable" determination. As we become previous, greater mature, we are able to establish between appropriate and irrelevant judgements from those techniques you basically defined. as an occasion: You get offended at somebody at school for messing up your locker or teasing you. you have got a theory on your head to "punch them" or "scream at them," yet you opt for to easily be steamed slightly, turn, and stroll away with your different acquaintances. somebody who's lacking in those reasoning skills could be the two verbally violent, bodily violent, or would compose an extremely problematic and state-of-the-artwork approach of revenge in some way. you're ok. that's merely your techniques providing you with a call. And as human beings mature, they are confronted on a on a regular basis foundation with those alternatives.

Well, she said "very bad, evil thoughts". When I think of something very bad and evil, it would have to be something like murder - I can honestly say I have never considered murdering anyone.
Maybe she didn't mean her question the way I took it.

I have had a fantasy my entire life of beating the living poo out of my evil sister.

But now I'm too old to get away with it, so I know it will never happen. At least I got angry enough to be the only one in the family who has ever stood up to her.

Anybody who claims they never have "bad" or "evil" thoughts is a liar. We all have them. They don't make us "bad" or "evil". They just make us human.

Is it so terrible to be human?
