I spent 5 years active duty and then was talked into staying in the reserves. My active duty time is up and I was suppost to be inactive until 5/2010 but I instead went reserves. Please there is a form out there somewhere to transfer back to inactive. Any help thanks I ahve served my time. My family deserves to have me home

you go through your chain of command, but if you have not yet completed your initial term, you probably won't be able to without a darn good reason.

Contact your command, tell them your plans. Then contact a recruiter and tell them your plans. That way you can start the paper work. Your reserve unit will not let you go until you have some proof that you are going active. My friend went from the National Guard to an active Marine in 2 months.

You signed the contract and have been getting paid. Now earn your money and stop whining.

You can't. Remember a little thing called a CONTRACT! You have to wait until it is finished.
