Because atheists have lost their way, and Jesus wants them to find the path to God..
Christians, on the otherhand, know what path to follow to get to God and therefore, don't need to be looked after.

Hmm, okay, so you have "personal" relationship with Jesus, who is God, yet do not believe in God. Bit of a contradiction, don't you think?
