If you bring a cell phone, you only get the cell phone. You don't get the antennas to make it work.

I'd bring an electronic voting machine back to the mid 90s and get the state of Florida to start using them in time for the 2000 election.

I would download the results of very sporting event, lottery and stock in the United States since Jan. 1, 1980 until now on my laptop. With all this data on my laptop I would become a legend in Vegas , bigger than "Jimmy the Greek". My final answer is my laptop.
