We just added a 400 sq foot room on to the back of the house- it is a long room with a kind of low ceiling- one side of the room has no windows, so i need ideas to make it feel less claustophobic &I want it to match the rest of my house so Im thinking on the lines of burnt oranges, mustard, olive green...colors of that sort. Id like some ideas- Oh ya- all of our nautical stuff is going to be moved out to this room-

"Bittersweet stem" or "harmonic Tan" by Sherwin Williams would look good. It would lend a sandy colored backdrop to your nautical theme, and it would coordinate well with the rest of your home.

Lighter colors will open up a room, if you use darker colors it will feel smaller. A mirror on one wall will make the room seem larger also.

I would use a pale yellow.
