If you are running Windows XP, just double click the file...it will open and show you what is inside. If it doesn't work, download AlZip...it's free and allows you to open and edit zip files.

Very easy to see inside a Zip file. You don't need to download any software as Win XP & Vista both have the capabilities. All you need to do is move the cursor via your mouse over the zip file, do not highlight/select the file. A box will appear showing the contents. This box only shows for about 10 seconds,so if you have a large number of files, just remove the cursor and then move it back over the file again, this way you can bit by bit see the contents. Another option is to just double click the zip file, this time a new window will open showing all the files, but you will not be able to edit or open them as they are still in a condensed format (zipped). To gain full access right click on the zip file, select 'Extract to' either 'Here' or a place of your chooosing.
One warning though, if the zip file was not made by yourself, once extracted scan all the contents with a good Anti Virus app before opening or running the files.

If you use Windows XP, you should be able to open a ZIP file as you would a normal folder and see what files are inside it. If you're using an earlier version of Windows or some other operating system, you can just use an unzipping utility to unzip it and see what files are inside it. If you have the right software to create ZIP files, the same software will almost certainly be able to unzip them as well.

This is a safe link where you can download winrar for free here http://bit.ly/1v2nWkq

You can use winrar to unzip zip files (or to open compressed folder). 7zip or winzip are other softwares you can use for the same purpose but winrar is by far the best one. All these programs work in a very similar way: you just have to right click the file to zip or unzip any folders or files.

If you don't want a trial version don't worry. The trial period of winrar never ends so you can use it for free with no limitations.

With WINRAR you will be able to open all the type of compressed folder like file .zip, .rar, .7z, .7zip .iso, .tar, .jar etc... that's the main reason why I recommend it.

Once you create a zipped file to compress the files, you have to extract them, so double click to open and click on extract files in the left pane.

nicely you prefer a software to open ZIP data (their distinctive data compressed to minimize report length). and not utilising a software you may no longer do something to it. obtain courses Like WinZip, WinRar, BitZipper(etc.) Their no longer loose yet you're able to do the trial verison. you may no longer open Zip data and not utilising a surprising software, otherwise it merely opens it on notepad. (it is extremely ineffective.)

Hello,
If you are looking for a free download of Winrar you can check here http://bit.ly/1p3P8KR
The best choice to open (extract) zipped files is definitly WinRar. It's able to decompress a lot of different files as zip,rar,iso,7z,jar and much more.
