I'm not a Marine, yet, but I do know from a couple of friends that the female training is not really different from the males. My friends sister told me that the Senior Drill Instructors were EXTREMELY hard on all the females. They yelled, screamed, called names etc...but she told me that they do it so that can tear you down and help you overcome all mental blocks so that you can become stronger pyschically and mentally and be right up there with the males. I really cant think of any downsides but their might be some.

women are expected to do the same as the men, Boot camp will be hard because of the fact you are a woman! Especially if you do better than some of the men, which does happen.
If you REALLY want to be a marine, do it.
You have to have the heart and soul for it because boot camp is not an easy task, you will be yelled at ALOT, so if you are emotional, this will not be for you. You will be put down, insulted and more but this is to get you to be the beter person in the end , be a leader!

They tear you down to build you up. You won't like the boot camp one bit, but if you cling to the idea that it will end, you can make it. NOT ALL WOMEN CAN SERVE IN THE MARINES. If you can take getting called every bad thing in the world and know deep down they are doing it to teach you to obey an order without question because your life may depend on it, you can do it.
My daughter tried, but with a previous bad back, the boot camp regime was too much for her and she had to separate from the Marine corp, she had passed her audition to be in the band. Her best friend, who barely made it to graduation, made out ok and loves the life of the Marine Corps.
Good luck and God Bless

you should get the boot camp DVD to get some insight
I say its best if you dont know everything. Its better as a surprise.

Everybodys experience is different so dont expect what everyone says to be the same.
