No problem with honey changers.

Now, money changers; Jesus said they were transforming the temple into a house of thieves, that's why.

honey changers? he was upset that there was merchants at the temple selling goods and religious trinkets at the temple.

Basically, in a nut shell, he said that the temple was there for ppl to worship not for merchants to maximize their profit by taking advantage of the worshipers. It would be the equivalent of a vendor stand outside of a cemetery selling crucifixes to the mourners..think of it that way. They are taking advantage of someone grief to turn a profit...bad news.

Whatever was brought to the temple as an offering for God was brought out of the homes of those that were offering it. If you raised sheep you gave of that... you offered to God according to what you laboured on. Infront of the temple were these enterprising ones. They sort to have sheep and oxen and doves " handy" and available to those who wanted to " offer up" a sacrifice to God. They did not labour.. they just took this easy way which was a great insult not only to God but to the whole act of offering anything.

The Lord saw that these money changers were turning His Father's house into... a Den of thieves... He called them a generation of vipers. They were seeking to make a profit on God's head..This was God acting out in Righteous anger. Yes.. God can be stirred in His being regarding this lack of respect and value for what is offered up to Him. Its no wonder God the Son felt such disgust for what these ones were carrying out right there in the temple.

May we not fall into the same trap. Its so easy to give the Lord the things in our lives that are not coming with a price. Some of our mornings are more precious to us than the Lord. I'd much rather sleep than wake up a few mins earlier to spend time with Him in the word or in prayer. Its the simple things. Some may rather spend money on shoes without thinking, but will longingly look at the tithe that we give in the offering plate or box. If i point to anyone reading this.. there are three fingers pointing right back at me.
May the Lord search us deeply... for our own sakes. That what we give to Him is our first and our best:)

If you meant money changers which is what they were its because they were cheating people by not accepting their animal as an acceptable sacrifice but then selling them one of their animals to sacrifice at 10 to 100 time the true value- it was a scam that enraged Jesus and he drove them out with a whip and rightfully so.

because the bees kept buzzing around his house.
(I think you meant money changers)

mainly because they were in God's house, turning a place of prayer and worship into a flea market.
the fact that they were working on the Sabbath was bad enough, but to fill the temple with noisy animals and to do business THERE was an absolute sin.

honey ? ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. Are you blonde ?

If you meant "money" changers, it was because they were trying to make money in a place that was for God.

So there was a blonde was wanted to go to the new Walmart. She was driving down the busy 6 lane highway, saw a sign that said "Walmart, left" She said, "oh"...... and turned her car around and drove home.

They were there cheating the people taking advantage of them. Plus they were doing their "business" in the temple which was very inappropriate.

OK, go re-read your Bible. Or perhaps take a reading lesson before you attempt to do that.

It was "money" changers, not "honey" changers.

cheers.
