I'm not sure "inappropriate" is the word -- it's a bit over the top for a business setting. In your reply, don't say anything about the religious tone, just say "you're welcome." Recognize that this person may not have enough social skill to realize that it's not necessary to include this kind of thing in an e-mail message to a colleague. I'm a devout Christian and I like to thank God for everything in my life, great and small, but I have the brains not to assume that everyone else wants to hear about that, esp. in professional correspondence. Good luck, and God bless, no pun intended ;-)

I'm Christian, but I don't like to see religious stuff in business communications AT ALL. My sister-in-law signs off on her business emails with a Bible verse, and I'm kind of put off by it.
I would treat this message like it was sent by someone from a different country who didn't quite understand the language and local customs. Even if the words are a little weird, you can still see that your co-worker's heart was in the right place, and that he/she was trying to express the extent of his/her gratitude in the most heartfelt way possible.

I understand you may not be a Christian but in reality this is just her way of thanking you.. Sometimes it is hard to respond when people bring up their religion when it is different from yours.. but respect them enough to not be rude or hateful about this. She was not preaching to you or anything just saying thank you.. tolerance is so important and if people had more tolerance for others this world would be better... A simple rely of your welcome would be just fine..

You don't have to acknowledge a thank you. Their religious fervor is out of place in the office but no big deal.

That person obviously has some very strong convictions. Let it be and say you are welcome. Leave it at that unless you are prepared to get in to some really deep conversation!

just say your welcome and move on... i think that's kinda a weird response to just helping someone with a link but at least she said thank you.
