Is there a fix that could be downloaded, or is there any other solution to this problem?

You might try just reinstalling it. I installed it with no problems at all.

I have been running Firefox on Windows Vista Home Premium since March without an issue. I updated to Firefox 2.0.0.7 when it came out and have not experienced any problems. Some thoughts on your situation:

1) Backup your bookmarks and other things you don't want to lose and uninstall Firefox
2) Delete your Firefox AppData folder. It is located at: Users\\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox
3) Download Firefox 2.0.0.7 again and re-install

Your problem should be solved.

Try removing it and then reinstalling. Like the others, I have been using Firefox with Vista Home Premium since last Feb. and have not experienced any problems of any kind.
