What is the first thing that Adam said to Eve?
Stand back, I don't know how big this thing gets!
They probably did not even try to cover themselves, but the "church" wanted people to cover their "private parts" so the church (vatican) added that, just like they changed other things to fit their beliefs.
They even locked up people like Galileo, who proved that the earth was not the center of the universe, because they thought that god? would have made the Earth "The Centre Of The Universe"

Honey: Where did you read that? The Bible says that they used FIG leaves to cover themselves and not that they hid themselves with pigs. I recommend that you read again.

According to the story, they hid themselves with fig leaves after they had eaten the forbidden fruit, which then in turn made them impure, and able to feel shame.
