I recently finished processing at the MEPs in Cleveland, Ohio. I am not from any part of Ohio but I reside in Michigan (Go Blue!!!). I was in Sandusky, Oh working for the summer when I decided to join the Navy. Now the summer's gone and I am back in Michigan. I still haven't finished my PQS with my recruiter. He says that I have to finish this in order to ship out, which is on 2008FEB02. I already signed my life away and sworn in. There is no way I can travel back and forth to Sandusky and Michigan everyday to finish my PQS. Am I still a valid applicant for the US Navy!!!!???? I am really looking forward for this opportunity and I would be greatly disappointed to see it go by. What do I do? Do I have to talk to a recruiter in Michigan and go through MEPs all over again and sign up again? My MA1 talked about doing a courtesy transfer with a recruiting station near my location to finish up on my PQS! I am just doubtful. Thank you for your time....

Call the recruiter you talked with originally, and get an answer straight from him. If you can't get one, then talk to the local recruiter, BUT BE SURE TO TELL HIM EVERYTHING YOU DID WITH THE OTHER RECRUITER. Make sure he knows the whole situation.

Right now, all the branches of the services are looking for recruits, so they'll probably work hard to make sure you get in. They may both want to claim you as credit for themselves, but as long as you do get enlisted, they'll probably be happy. But you need to get the information straight from them, so ask direct questions, and keep asking until you're more than satisfied.

Oh, yeah - GO GREEN! GO WHITE!

Get the transfer to a recruiter closer to you. It is not that hard for them to do. But, You have to keep on them about it and follow up on it continuously on both ends. Do it now!! Holidays are coming up fast and things slow down and things get lost and misplaced.
