How sad to think like that. This is 2007 and my husband and I are raising our daughter to be a smart, independent, and capable woman.

I wouldn't say that women are "more gullible", but at the same time I don't make the sweeping claim of "Well there are gullible men too, so that's that" or "Men and women all think the same" (they don't). If women seemed to have "stayed under the care of men", that's just because our economic systems have largely operated on the model of the husband bringing home the bacon and the wife taking care of all domestic duties.
Women are, on average, more often right-brained "feelers" than left-brained "thinkers" (though even that is over-simplifying it a bit). They tend to process many things on a personal level more often than men do. One might argue that this could lead to a lack of critical thinking which in turn makes one susceptible to certain things. But if you look at the big picture, men are just as gullible in this sense. They just get duped into doing different kinds of things. A look at a New-Age convention shows that over 90% women are booked for palm readings or past-life regression. However, the ratios are reversed if you go to something like a UFO convention, numerology site, or a dowsing session. Or if you look at gambling (and I mean compuslive gambling, not just a weekend in Las Vegas), it's all middle-aged women at the slot machines, but all men at the craps table.

I would say the person was an idiot. Women are not more gullible. I mean really look at those old old rich men that marry those young women. You KNOW they aren't after the old man for his prowess in bed. Maybe if it was Hugh Hefner but he likes the little blue pill. LOL Oh yeah it's because they believe these women really love them. On a personal note I'd never date or marry a man for his money. I respect myself too much for that.
The statement you quoted is from a woman who obviously has never had the chance to learn what a real woman is.

I wouldn't say that women in general are more gullible than men.I know plenty of men that stray. On the other hand woman are supposed to be a little under the man BECAUSE the men are supposed to take care of the woman. Paul makes it clear that God has established principles of order, authority, and accountability. Meaning the man is accountable his household is not doing something right. God designed it so that men are over woman but some men let that go to their head, which is not right. God does not want a man to be the authority if he does not fully understand his duties or if he takes them for granted. They do not have to stay under the care of a man that does not love and respect God the way he should.

Actually we are to stand side-by-side and give respect to each other. I think that is in 1 Corinthians.
I think its an equal opportunity we all can be deceived and lead astray.
Paul was trying to establish order in the churches.
They were doing stuff that were not of God... hm mm.. just like what goes on now.
The order in my home....First God, Then Spouse,Then Kids, My Home and work, Then Church(family)
If any are out of balance then choas can come in.
My husband and I have to agree on everything that is important. And He is to love me "as Christ Loves the Church" Ephesians goes into this(marriage) and how Christians are suppose to Act to each other and NonBelievers.

Another fine verse snatched out of context. Women are highly valued by God or as invaluable as men depending on their aptitude.
This is what I find amazing & totally extinct.
Proverbs 31:
10: Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.
11: The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil.
12: She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.
Titus 2
1: But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine:
3: The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4: That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5: To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Nah, some women are gullible. But a lot of them have the self-confidence to make their own decisions and not be forced or tricked into doing something. Many women have no self-doubt.

Woman from different cultures, do feel like that,
Thank God I was born in New Zealand.
The place of strong woman like Zena Warrior Princess, and the land of Lord of The Rings, the juice of cows, the gifts of chickens, where the men drink pure beer, play with balls, and play great golf, and allow the woman to be as strong as they want to be, as long as they can milk a cow, renovate the house and run after all the children.

My fiance and I are christians and while I respect him and do things for him, I will not be controlled by him. As far as I am concerned, women are just as likely to stray as men, it just depends on the situation and the person. I think that that women needs to not make such general remarks about women. Personally, I have known more men to cheat then women.

Are you sure it's a woman and not just a man pretending to be a woman? Because our very own troll CBG is known to cross-dress once in awhile.
I haven't been "under the care" of any man since I was eleven. That answer is, of course, utter BS. Just because she is gullible and incapable of taking care of herself does not mean she should extend that statement to her entire gender.

Ha, ha, ha.
I wonder what man told her that?
These are the same sort of arguments that were used to try to prevent women from voting.
It is (allegedly) a well known fact that if women think too much their brains overheat. (A Victorian male claim LOL)
It is sad that after so much effort by so many women to be seen and be treated like equals, that some are actually holding themselves back from being what they have the potential to be.
