I don't think NAPA has given him any ultimatum yet. He did qualify well at Kansas. I think Mikey can stay in the top 35 if he gets a good start next year. It's probably going to be a make or break year for him as far as his driving career goes tho.

I think Mikey will probably always be the NAPA guy no matter how bad he is. He can't drive around the block but his commercials are good along with every so often DW showing up the 2 of them are made for that. Except DW was a driver too.

Not that I'm aware of and all of Napa's money wouldn't be enough to make Michael Waltrip a better driver. The wins he scored at DEI were like Derrike Cope's 1990 Daytona win--fluke.

~sigh~ Poor Mickey, but I think the best thing for him to do is step out of the race car and get some young blood in there.
How did he even get into the Cup series? I barely started watching NASCAR in 2003 so I haven't really followed his career. And from what I've seen once he left DEI there hasn't even been anything worth mentioning. I mean when Dale Sr started his own team his career was on fire. Which is how you would assume it should be, but Mickey was just average if not mediocre, how did he figure he was going to bust out on his own? Hmmmmmmmmmm maybe I should post this a s a question! Once again someone baggin on a driver with talent.
Michael Waltrip is very talented, and has proven he can win, it will take time for his new team to develop, you cannot and will not see a miracle in one year guys. MWR will be competative and so will all their drivers, with exception of Jarrett, who has probably just lost the gusto to go fast.
If you want to bag on a driver, bag on someone like JPM, who cannot stop running people over, or Kyle Busch who still cannot seem to check his attitude, but don't bag on the guys out there doing the best they can with what they have,

He, Bro & Buffy been busy on the media circuit. Mikey needs to step aside let another drive now that his bucks are in there so dear! Wonder what the "Lucky Dog" tag sold for? Someone bought back the rights because ABC is now using it again??
Didn't that come from a store Mikey promoted or DW?

If they have a contract with him to drive next year, probably not. I am sure Mikey has already been thinking about finding someone to drive the 55.

Don't know but wish UPS would tell that to Jarrett. I still think his dad Ned would get the UPS #44 on the track before DJ
