Had it planned all day. The 'old man' was going down the pub to watch the rugby and all the kids were going to be out for the night. Ha Ha I thought, house to myself for the night. Long bath with no one keep knocking on the bathroom door, order a chinese takeaway to be delivered, bottle of wine and the biggest treat of all.....being in charge of the Remotes for the big downstairs plasma all singing all dancing tele instead of having to watch the small bedroom one. Trouble is I can't find (out of the 9 million channels we have) anything to Bloody watch. Is this what they call Sods Law !!!
Any suggestions gratefully received.

I just wanted to say THANKS to everyone who answered and offered up suggestions - even if it was just for 2 points and not out of concern for me (ha ha)

I am home alone too and doing yahoo answers to fill time and there is law and Order on channel 5 soon or Ross on BBC but it is very annoying when you think great kids out, old man out woot woot and then BUMP!!!
It is called Man Law cause I bet you tommorow when they are in we will be relagated to the cheap seats again as he refuses to watch X Factor and calls Ant and Dec well unprintable really lol

If it's any consolation,I'm in the states and it's the same way here. Sometimes I wonder what it is I pay for. I cant honestly think of any of the new shows that I would stay awake to watch. I've become quite knowledgeable about meerkats and forensic science, but it's hard to find someone else who wants to listen. It's really bad when you have this wonderful opportunity and there's nothing to watch. Enjoy the solitude if nothing else.

I'm in Canada and it's the same thing Fri and Sat nights. Guess they figure why put anything on, those are the nights people go out. And you are so right - a gazillion channels and not a damn thing worth watching.

Currently I am watching 'After you've gone'. I shall then watch 'French and Saunders' and 'Not going out' all on BBC1. I think friday nights are quite good for television at the moment with these programmes plus 'Eastenders' and repeats of 'My Family' on. I dont think tv on other nights is that good at the moment though.

As much as I'm a fan of Phoenix Nights.. I don't think two back to back repeats really constitutes good friday night telly! They should try a bit harder than that.... A few weeks ago we were getting live BB evictions, and now we're treated to repeats! A travesty!

Nothing to watch?
What about QI, 2 episodes of Pheonix Nights and The IT Crowd?

We are all discussing how a lot of the new tv programs are bad.I would say you should get Netflix, thats what we do,you get to pick your own shows and keep them as long as you want. Its really worth it,my husband and I get so excited to watch what we picked and be comfy together on the weekends:)Good luck to you:)
