My mother in law & her fiance are getting married next month. It is a second wedding for both the bride and groom and they are an older couple. What should my husband and I get them that isn't too cheesy? We were thinking of signing them up for a wine club, and that way they would recieve 2 bottles of wine each month for a year. Good idea? Just looking for some extra ideas thanks!

1] how well do you know your mother-in-law? If you know she likes to try new wines, go for it! Maybe you could add some beautiful wine glasses for them.
2] do you have any sisters-in-law? Maybe you could put heads together to pick a gift.
3] did she register for gifts?
4] maybe a present that reminds them of each other - personalized mugs, movie vouchers, ski lift tickets, dance lessons - whatever they enjoy.

that is a great idea i love it got to keep that in the back of my head. not sure of what budget you two are looking at but is it affordable to get them a weekend getaway??? or some tickets to a show? dont know if they like to eat out but here in my area you can go into some gas stations they sell them and they are food gift cards you can buy 4 of 5 different ones for any dollar amount you want say mom and dad go out to apple-bees alot why not get 5 or so 5.00 gift cards for dessert ??? or something to go toward there meals just some ideas ........... but i love the wine idea i am thinking that might be a dead ringer for you and you might just add it up and go out and get a picnic basket and put some grapes cheese in it and a sample type bottle of wine along with the gift card thing saying they will receive 2 bottles of wine a month for a year to celebrate there love and life together

The wine club is an excellent idea. When my friends married (second for both of them) they received some great gifts. Someone gave them a gift certificate for a couple's massage at a great spa.

Do they like wine? I love it so that would be a great gift for me if I already had everything I needed for my home. I might even add a few sessions at a couple's cooking class since food and winr pair so well and they can bond as a new couple

Perhaps you can get them an activity for their honeymoon. If they aren't taking one, suprise them with a gift certificate for a weekend at an upscale hotel in the area.

That would be a great idea, if they are into wine.

You could also do something like;
~A beautiful frame for wedding picture
~A night in a hotel with a gift certificate to a fancy restaurant
~Something for the home that is significant to your acceptance of the marriage

I love the wine idea! If you're looking for something else, you could always get them nice monogrammed bathrobes, but I think the wine idea sounds great! (Assuming they drink wine, haha).

This is a thought. I got this for my mother when she got remarried. She loves it. Try this website.

This company sells wind chimes that you can have inscribed with your feelings, blessings, and love.

They have a great selection of sizes, colors, wind sail shapes, and they even give you examples of things to say if you cant think of something.
