Hey everyone I am 13 years old, and I just wanted to know if 13 is an ok age to date? I mean, I know I am still kind of young but next year I will be in High School. I don't know what to do! Can you guys help me?

Thirteen is not a bad age to start getting to know boys, what you like in a person, and who you yourself are. If that's what you mean by dating, then I say it sounds fine. It may be easier to start by going on group dates. There's less pressure, fewer awkward moments and someone else to talk with if your date is one of the strong, silent type.
I wouldn't recommend one-on-one dating for a while though. It's a good way to spend money while not saying much and feeling really awkward.
Remember the entire point of dating is to get to know people - yourself as well as your date. I'm almost 30 and happily married for two years. My wife and I dated for three and a half years before we were engaged, and we each dated a lot of people before that. Serious relationships can be a real drag, especially in high school, so work on yourself, your studies, your friendships and your hobbies before you worry about impressing some guy (or girl).

way too young to date!! you might be thinking that you are "all that and more" but there are too many young girls that get in way over their heads and find themselves in potentially dangerous situations. Wait until you are older and have developed a little more judgment first. You are just much too young to even consider it no matter if you are going to be in high school or not.

I'm 13 and i don't know either but I've had 5 boyfriends already and i think they are way overrated and to be honest boys are really really stupid at 13 years old (can't wait till I'm 15 apparently that's when they get sensitive!!!)And for the record I've had 5 boyfriends me and my friends are focused on boys and school and we are the top students in the school so its possible to be focused on school and boys!!!

Hunny, 13 is a fine age to date. You just need to be careful that it doesn't get in the way of all the fun High School stuff.
Like I got tied down and didn't fo to a bunch of all games.

i say age doesn't matter i mean what has it proven in live anyway? i think 13 is perfectly alriright i mean im 13 and i want to ask girl's out. but to be honest i think you should wait until high school because there will be alot of other guys there. and you don't have to worry alot of boys will ask you i mean it weird but im in highschool adn i have seen loads of boys at the age 12 ask girls out.

It's okay, but I would suggest waiting until high school. Dating doesn't mean much if you can't actually go out on a date.

dating is ok...but the guys r vicious...u better be really sure about the guy u choose...u r still a child no matter what...u wudnt want to have innocence stolen from ure life so early because ud regret it later

if you know whats best for you dont date yet, i started dating young and it crumbled to the floor. i would wait til you are older. but its your choice. good luck with dating.

i will not let my children date until they are 16. 13 is way too young.
