There is nothing wrong with it, because you said you will take care of the one you could not give away.
Cats will breed with siblings, I had two cats once from the same litter, I Thought they would not breed because of that but one day I saw them trying to make kittens. I picked up the male and we took a little trip that part of him did not return from (Vet office)
We got lucky that he did not knock his sister up. I sure as hell did not want any kittens

Yes. It is wrong to breed a cat. Not because you are not a professional, but because there are waaaaaay to many poor cats out there that do not have a home. Over 10 million are euthanized a year. :( It is so sad.
But l understand that you really want to see little kittens and play with them. Well, l think l you asked the right person! Go to your local Animal Shelter and ask to be a foster mom. Then you will take care of kittens that are intended to already go to a home. If you bred yours, then maybe those kittens would not have a home to go to, and might have been euthanized. ( Be sure that your animal shelters are NON-KILL, so they wouldn't be euthanized )
When you are a foster mom, you take care of kittens/other pets of all different ages. Like, my first litter from the animal shelter was a kitten and the mom. And the kitten was only 1-2 days old!!! Well, Good Luck, and Hope l Helped!!!
PS. I also don't think you should breed because a cat may have problems during birth, and you don't want that! (Breeding may increase chances of cancer, and so can not spaying/neutering.)
l really hope l helped!!!
(GO AND SPAY/NEUTER YOUR CATS!!!)

Yes it is wrong. Cats are overpopulated, and by breeding your cat just for the experience of seeing kittens born is selfish and inconsiderate. To breed your cat and to let her have kittens, means those kittens will need homes... Homes that would choose the kitten over the tons of cats in shelters, many of which will need to be euthenized because they aren't wanted.
Those kittens will displace any other home-needing cat out there. Currently, in the US alone, in order for all the cats in SHELTERS [this does not include stray cats] to have a good home would mean EVERY man, woman and child would have to adopt 15+ cats. Thousands of loving, caring cats are put to sleep because people like you want to breed their cats for selfish reasons. Your cat does not need to breed... Get her spayed [She should already BE spayed since she lives with her brother]... And contrary to your belief, a brother and a sister WILL mate.. The results of that mating can be harmful to the kittens [mutations, diseases, immune system problems, etc].
You need to spay your cat, and have her brother neutered. Breeding a cat, even with knowing the overpopulation issue is selfish and causing your cat more harm than good. She doesn't care if she has kittens or not, and when she gets spayed she won't know the difference.

Is it wrong? Yes, I do believe it is. You need to examine why you want to breed her in the first place.
"because she is mine". Is this really a good reason to breed? Why do you think that it is?
"I would like to have the experience of seeing kitties be born"-like some others have said, there are pregnant cats in the shelter that give birth to kittens almost daily. I have seen it before, and its not pretty, though it is miraculous. In other words, its very easy to see kittens being born without having to breed your cat.
Why add to the overpopulation of cats and kittens in the world? Even if you do get homes for them, what purpose did this litter serve? Is your cat purebred? Do you really want to put your cat through the pain and stress of having kittens?
Please, please, please get both your cats spayed/neutered, and simply love them. If you want a kitten, please just adopt one at a shelter. I don't mean to be rude, and I'm sorry if it comes off that way, but the reasons you gave for breeding seems a little selfish to me.
Also, just because cats are of the same litter does not mean that they won't mate. They will.

Yes, it's wrong. It's wrong because there are MILLIONS of homeless cats and kittens that die every year in animal shelters because there aren't enough people to adopt them. Even if you gave away every single kitten, what happens to them in their new homes? Do they get pregnant? Do their kittens have kittens? Unless you spay and neuter your animals, the problem will never stop. One female cat can have THOUSANDS of descendants in seven years! How could there possibly be homes for all of them? Please don't breed. Have your kids neutered, then go to the shelter and adopt a couple more kittens to take the place of the ones you would have had. Why not save lives instead of make more?

Your kitties most certainly will breed with each other even if they are from the same litter. Cats don't understand human taboos, and they act on instinct. When the female is in heat, she won't recognize her brother as any thing but an available male, and vice versa. Inbreeding magnifies the risk of inherited diseases and deformities, so take care that they don't breed with each other.
It is also natural to want your cats to have kittens, because you love your cats and think they will produce wonderful kittens. But if you have enough love in your heart and room in your home to want to welcome "at least one or two," please consider adopting kittens or a pregnant female. They already need your love and care and may suffer and die without it.

I just dont think its right just because you have a want to see kitties born...there are millions yes millions of homeless dogs and cats in the world and millions on top of that have homes without proper health care because the people have more animals than they have money to care for them...please take these things into consideration before considering breeding...thanks

no, its not good to breed your female. only do it if you KNOW you will take good care of all the kittens AND ur male and female and you KNOW you will keep all of them. giving kittens away resorts in cats at the shelter not being chosen. there are way too many cats at the shelter without homes and you will just contribute to the list of cats who have to be put down every year. so only do it if you know you will keep all of the kittens, and you'll know how to manage and take care of all of them, and you know that you dont have to worry about financial concerns, because sometimes there are as many as 6 kittens in a litter, and the costs add up real quick. do NOT breed your female with her brother! it will most likely cause birth defects and i dont think you want that.

There are so many abandoned and abused animals in shelters that make excellent pets (my dog and both of my cats were rescued) so it is wrong to breed animals just because. Also when you start giving away animals you don't know what lies ahead for them, I have heard horror stories about people getting free kittens and feeding them to pitbulls or snakes and doing God knows what else to them. Be a responsible pet owner and go and get your cat fixed.

Yes it is wrong to breed your cat! There are millions of unwanted kittens in the world, don't contribute to the overpopulation problem. If you want to see birth, rent a video or go to a shelter. Don't breed, please. And get them both neutered.
