Possible it is - but yes, it is more difficult than if you were younger than 20. Apart from the fact that the brain deteriorates, as time goes by, as an older person you have other things on your mind and possibly more responsibilities. Therefore you cannot concentrate 100% to your studies.
It is worth trying however, the language and the relative culture are very interesting - the country is worth visiting and the people are really friendly and honest.

In some respects, you could learn German easier as an older student than a young person. The intricate grammar and precise way every little particle must fit together in German may make a lot more sense when you have lived a few years longer and have a more analytical, experienced mind.

It is possible, but it could be more difficult. As a person ages, their ability to learn new things slows, thus it is easier to teach a new language to a child than it is to an adult. However, you would think it would be the opposite way.

Ja, weil Deutsch Englisch in den Regeln verwendet sehr ähnlich ist und sogar Wörter ziemlich ähnlich sind.

I think it's possible if you're determined enough. I'm in my late 40s now and still would like to one day become fluent in that language. I have studied it in the past and can get by in it but it does bother me that I can't speak it better.

I'm 37, and I'm getting there, slowly.
In the first German class I ever took, there was an 80-year-old man!
