Well, if it was a prehensile tail, rather than just for show, it would come in very useful for all those jobs where you could just do with another hand.
Not sure about touch typing with a tail, but you could drink your tea while typing :o)
Of course, if everyone was born with a tail, the items we use could all look very different as they would have tail use built in!
Just think - a whole new range of tail tools...

Well, not all humans are born with a tail. We all had one during development but in most cases it is absorbed back into the body before birth. There are some who are born with it though.
What use would it be? Well, I would watch my opponent's tail when watching poker. If it wags then I am sure he has a good hand.

I would use mine for holding a mobile phone or cigarette whilst driving. Ha - sort out a ban for tail held mobile phones damned government tossers...
