Remember that a scientific theory is more of an accepted fact as it is a proven hypothesis but is still open to change as new facts come to light; so Evolution is a fact.
God, on the other hand, cold be considered a hypothesis, failed only in that there is no indication that it has potential and no supporting evidence.

Nope. The entire question is invalid. Darwin came up with evolution as a "what if?" type thing. He started thinking "what if God didn't create everything?" and went from there. Technically, if you follow the scientific process, then neither evolution nor God are theories or hypotheses. Neither one have been hypothesized about, had scientific experiments done many times over with control groups and experimental groups and all that, and the results analyzed to either support or disprove the hypothesis. It's only when a hypothesis is partially (but not totally) proved scientifically that it becomes theory. And it's only when a theory is proved to be true in 100% of all cases that it becomes fact. So, neither evolution nor God are theories or hypothesis. Both are ideas that have to be accepted by faith for people to believe they are true because neither one can be proved or disproved by scientific experiments.

The two are not necessarily connected, as evolution does not disprove God. I would say that God could qualify as a hypothesis, though I think characterizing as failed is a little disingenuous, because the hypothesis is by its nature untestable.

I just watched a documentary video called Zeitgeist which really leaves an impact. The first of three sections involves religion and has some strong evidence against religion. Religion is a belief and depends on whether or not you believe in it. Your questions does not really have an answer as both are speculation per say, however evolution does have more scientific fact and evidence. I would recommend this video it might answer some of your doubt.

Since there is (most likely) only one that is correct, using the term "theory" to describe evolution pretty much constitutes that 'God' is the failed hypothesis, so yes.

Evolution is only a theory and a poor one at that. The only thing that God has failed at, is braking down the doors to your heart, where you could see the truth. You see God is a gentleman, he doesn't inpose.

Take a look at the scientific definition of the word "Theory" and you will find that evolution is fact.

Even the term hypothesis, is a generous term for an ill-thought and copied myth.
