It won't "fry" your hair but it will dry it out . The soap in laundry detergent is very harsh and will strip all the natural oils from your hair. You may notice a slight lightening of the hair color but only because all of the hairs oil has been stripped from it. It isn't worth the damage you will do to your hair.

If your serious about getting back to your original color- you can try a color remover. Here is the link to color fix. Just don't use this and then re-color your hair. It can also be damaging. http://www.folica.com/one__n_only_Col_r312_4.html

You can get this at any beauty supply store.

I don't know......I wouldn't trust putting laundry detergent in my hair. Maybe you want to try asking a salon professional before you do something that will make your hair a mess. It would seem to me that laundry detergent (b/c it's full of perfumes and harsh cleansers) it would probably make your hair really dry and brittle.

I wouldn't use laundry detergent in your hair. That sounds like a recipe for disaster.

I would see a salon professional, if you don't want to do that, you could try testing it out on a small under section of your hair
