What's with all the damn hotcombs and weaves these days? I have naturally straight hair, and I hate it. I always have to have some kind of pincurling in it. I personally think women always look better with some kind of volume, curl or wave in their hair.

I used to be like that (minus getting it striaght = I always wnated it straight but never got it)but now I like my curls because I can wear my hair curly or straight (which is rare). People with straight hair have a hard time doing that.
Buuut its annoying because everyone tells me to straighten my hair. Stupid.. haha.

I have a friend that has hair like that and there is some Indian background involved, but she also has reddish colored hair and her son has flaming red hair and he and his brother both have semi-straight hair as you have described. I don't know what the answer is unless you go and get a perm or something. She never complains about her hair and I think that is what she does is gets perms. Oh, did I forget to mention that she is also black.

Hey me too i have flat hair and hate it so bad, all my friends love my hair they always complain how nasty their hair is but i like their hair. Anyway back to the question I guess all women like their hair straight because straight hair looks younger and fun. Wavy or curly is made you look like mature and old that what i think.

I have naturally curly hair and I straighten mine. But, it never comes out completely straight. I want straight hair for the simple fact that it's not frizzy. Thats my biggest concern with curly hair.

Why do women with straight hair always want it curled?
I'm lucky. I have curly hair that looks good straight or natural. I like wearing it either way.

For some people it looks good...but really nice curls are rare...girls think frizzy hair is curls these days...so straight hair is better then frizzy hair...but if someone has really nice curls i wouldnt straighten it out...actually they probably cant straighten it anyways if their curls are tight enough....i dont like small ringlets never liked it...and i dont like wavy ...only curls i like are big curls and no one naturally ever has that...only hot rollers do that...so ya i like straight hair better...its more shinny soft...and just looks more kept..but thts just my opinion.

It seems to be in our nature to want the opposite kind of hair than what we have. Straight wants curly and curly wants straight.

I have naturally curly hair...and I cut it short so that it goes straight. If I don't...then I end up with an afro, which for a white female isn't cool.

I definetly agree. Why would you want to throw away gorgeous volume for stick straight hair? Just work with what you have!

Lol, i have curly hair & my youngest sister has straight hair! she's always trying to make hers curly & i love her straight hair!! i make mine flat very often, it's just so beautiful, i guess we are just never happy with our hair!! & we want to look different than how we always do.. right now i'm wearing it culry thou =]
