King David is a good role model for an up and coming Gangsta Rap Star or Jerry Springer guest . He spied on a married woman bathing, then ordered her husband to the front line of a battle hoping he would die so he could steal her.
Another one of our biblical heroes.

I wasn't aware that he ever rowed, but if my children decide to be on the crew team and decide to use King David as an inspiration, I would be ok with that.

I think Olympic rowers are better row models, I'm not sure if King David was into rowing at all. You should YouTube "rowing" or "crew" for some good row models.

Older murderous alduterous David, no
I kind of wonder how many people that have answered this know that David put a womans husband on the front lines of battle to kill him on purpose after so could sleep with his wife or cover up the fact that he was sleeping with his wife.
He was not favored by God after that.

No I do not think that David is a good row model. He was and adulterer and a murderer.

David is not a good role model for children if you are speaking about his sins. If you are talking about a man after God's own heart, then yes. The Bible heroes all have sinned and fallen short of God's glory and so have we. The people of the Bible have their lives shown as open books as God can see all men. Role models today have skeletons in the closets and we seldom see their life as an open book so my suggestion is TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO FOLLOW JESUS. Jesus is the perfect role model.

Honestly, there's not a good role model in the bible except Jesus. The bible is full of messed up and flawed human beings in need of salvation. King David was no different.

God approved of David. Good enough for me.
He was a little quick tempered, but very honorable and willing to repent before God. He also was the only one in Israel with enough faith to face Goliath.
I liked Josiah.
Jehu makes a good story, but he was a little too devious to be a role model.
