I am trying to get to Morgan City, Louisiana from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. I will arrive in Baton Rouge after sunset on Saturday, October 6, 2007. Is there a bus or some kind of line that can get me to Morgan City before 2 P.M. October 7, 2007. Greyhound doesn't run there, nor do any airlines. Any bus phone number or email address in that area would be useful. I thank you if you can help.

Thank you to the last two answers. I can also get to Lafayette, but because of my arrivial time, a rental on the weekend might not work.

As for the first, where would I find a hot shot driver?

I don't know of any in particular. But if you would contact their Chamber of Commerce in that City they can tell you everything you need to know.

We used to live in Lafayette- which is between the two (closer to Morgan City). We had tried finding transportation to Lafayette and short of a taxi $$$ or a car service you are out of luck. The airport pickups were always $60 at the least- and that's for corporate- and the usual was more like a hundred- going to Morgan City, I'd say that would be the cheapest. My best suggestion would be to pick up a cheap rental car in Baton Rouge and drop it in Lafayette, New Iberia or if possible Morgan City (you will have to look up companies- I would try Enterprise, Budget or Hertz first). If you don't drive you will have to go with the airport shuttle service or taxie... no buses that I know of.

There is an Enterprise Car Rental place in Morgan City and at the Baton Rouge Airport, so my guess is that you should be able to rent a one way car from them. They don't offer the option on the net, so you'll have to call them:

1-800-261-7331

But considering that you can rent a car for 24 hours for about 40 or 50 bucks, I'd call and see.

I would first try a rental car but make sure you book it in advance. You should also contact the Chamber of Commerce in Baton Rouge and/or Morgan City for help.

I'd rent a car if I were in that situation. If that's not an option for you, try calling the Morgan City Chamber of Commerce, or Town Hall, to see if they know of any transportation available from Baton Rouge.

seem. The Louisiana flood became a disaster that became created by way of undesirable administration of flood defenses, incompetent reaction, and admittedly sickening enui from the government who have been completely able, at a cost, of saving many hundreds of lives, yet somewhat did no longer something, or somewhat militarised electorate' homesteads and left the wanton to starve. in contrast, the DH oil spill became some thing that the government had no skill over what so ever. the U. Rent a car! You can rent a car at any time of day, any day. It's easy as pie and you keep your independence from bus schedules or whatnot.
