If you really want to know, read 1 Corinthians 2:7-16. Read also Matthew3:16; 4:1-11.
Your body is made of spirit that is how you breath. You cannot see air but you know it causes you to live, move and have your being, right? Who made air? Read Psalms 139:6-17. The Word of God is rich and full.
The three are the Blessed Trinity; God the Father (Creator), Jesus His Son (Messiah, Savior, the Word) and the Holy Spirit who leads us into truth, light and life (the Comforter, Fire, Water for washing us clean).Read Ephesians 4:4-6. Also read 1Peter 1:2 and 1 John 5:7,8 Read St. John 8. You have to search scripture for yourself and pray to ask God to open your mind to the truth before you read it. Try the New American Standard (it's in today's terms).

God is pure spirit. In John 4:24, Jesus teaches us: "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth." This means God has no body, because a spirit is, by nature, an incorporeal being. As Jesus tells us elsewhere, "a spirit has not flesh and bones" (Luke 24:39).
As for the Trinity: The Bible clearly teaches that Jesus is God (cf. John 8:58, 10:38, 14:10; Col. 2:9). It also clearly teaches that the Holy Spirit is God (cf. Acts 5:3–4, 28:25–28; 1 Cor. 2:10–13). Everyone agrees the Father is God. Yet there is only one God (Mark 12:29, 1 Cor. 8:4–6, Jas. 2:19). How can we hold all four truths except to say all three are One God?

I think that scripture was not correct it should be...
25 And the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth; for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
26 For unto such hath God promised his Spirit. And they who worship him, must worship in spirit and in truth.
The Father and the Son and the Holy Ghost are 3 separate beings just like any other Father and son are separate beings. They are one in their goals, desires and abilities, not substance or body, that just doesn't make any logical sense.
Christ said he did nothing except what the Father had done
John 5
18 Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.
19 Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.
So what did the son do? He died, his spirit left his body and later his spirit came back to his body. Where did he learn that? From his Father. He made himself equal with God, which does not mean he is the same being.

God the Father (ELOHIM), is Spirit. God made the angels, and they are all spirit (they are all spirit, but they are not all alike in ability). Jesus is the son of God, and he is spirit also, there is no Holy Spirit, all in of it self, it is what all those in heaven are made of. Every thing in heaven is holy. there is no flesh and blood in heaven.
All human mortals are flesh and blood, but our abilities are different.
There is a spirit world here on earth, filled with demons, and Satan, who is the leader there. When Satan was an Angel, he thought he could and try ed, to take over God's kingdom, but you see he was no way the same as God, although he is spirit.

Because John 4:24 says:
God is a Spirit, and those worshiping him must worship with spirit and truth.”
His Holy Spirit is his active force that he uses to accomplish things. By means of it, God created the physical heavens, the earth, and all living things. (Genesis 1:2; Psalm 33:6) God used his holy spirit to inspire the men who wrote the Bible. (2 Peter 1:20, 21) Hence, the holy spirit is the invisible active force that God uses to fulfill his purposes.
The son is Jesus Christ.

We say God is a spirit because God is a spirit. Next?
Just kidding.
Your statement "God cannot be a spirit; otherwise he would be like other spirits" makes no sense. Why would God have to be like other spirits if he were a spirit?
The fact is, he is a spirit like no other. He is infinite, meaning without limits. There is no other spirit that is without limits. Other spirits are limited as to how much they can know or how much they can do. God knows everything and has power over everything and everyone. There is no other spirit like that.

Jesus said God is a Spirit in John 4:24, "God is a Spirit:::
and they that worship him MUST worship him in spirit and
in truth".
Genesis 1:2, "And the SPIRIT OF GOD moved upon the
face of the waters"
John 1:18, "No man hath seen God AT ANY TIME;the only
begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath
declared him".
Phil 2:6, about Jesus again, "Who, being in the FORM of
God, thought it not robbery to be EQUAL WITH GOD".
Colossians 1:14, speaking of Jesus, "Who is the image of
the INVIIBLE GOD".
Colossians 2:2-3, "That their hearts might be comforted,
being knit together in love, and unto ALL riches of the full
assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of
the MYSTERY OF GOD, AND OF THE FATHER, AND OF
CHRIST; In whom are HID ALL THE TREASURES OF
WISDOM AND KNOWLEDGE". Is God and the Father
the same person? Well, three are separated out in the
above passage concerning their "mystery", God, the Father,
and Christ. The mystery is "hid" and is a treasure indeed.
God has shown us the answer to this mystery by observing
his creation. We are a two-fold being & so is the Godhead;
Romans 7:23, "..I see another law in MY MEMBERS",read
the mystery Paul teaches us within this 7th chapter.
Colossians 2:9, speaking of Christ again, "For IN him
dwelleth ALL THE FULNESS of the Godhead BODILY".
Romans 1:20, "For the invisible things of him from the
creation of the world ARE CLEARLY SEEN, BEING
UNDERSTOOD BY THE THINGS THAT ARE MADE,
EVEN HIS ETERNAL POWER AND GODHEAD".
We are the thing made in his image after his likeness;
Genesis 1:26. According to Strong's Hebrew Dictionary,
the word image is #6754 and means phantom or illusion,
and the word likeness is #1823 and means shape or model.
Jesus is the temple body for the fullness of God the Spirit,
and we were made in their image and likeness, a two-fold
being, body & spirit. We have the spirit by measure (not
the full spirit), but John 3:34, "For he whom God hath sent
speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the SPIRIT
BY MEASURE UNTO HIM".
John 14:8, Jesus says to Philip after he'd asked Jesus to
show them the Father, "Have I been so long time with you,
and yet hast thou not known ME, Philip?" (10), "...the
Father that DWELLETH IN ME, he doeth the works".
Luke 11:20, Jesus says, "But if I WITH THE FINGER OF
GOD cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is
come upon you".

I think spirits are like goblins, and if someone is going to attack Jesus this way we should pony up. I mean, did Noah stop flodding the earth just because Michael said so? Yes. I hate nonchristians.
