The medicine would be less effective, and therefore could screw up your whole anitbiotic routine causing an infection or relapse.

A couple of pints should be fine - the main problem with anti-biotics is that unless you take the whole course it is worthless - and if you have too many drinks you could throw up, forget to take the next tablet etc.
It's more to ensure you take them all at exactly the right time and don;t void any of them than that there will be a bad reaction (or so my doctor told me once!)

Well 2 things can happen. the first is that the antibiotics become less effective and you can get an infection.
the second, you will have to go back to the doctor and start all over with the meds. Just chill for a couple more days. damn, you can't go a week without beer?

Look at the pill bottle. Some antibiotics will make you sick if you drink. Some won't. It will have a warning label on the bottle if you can't drink.
Your stomach will be a little unsettled no matter what kind though, so drink less than usual if you do go out.
Hope you get better soon : - )

Alcohol prevents the absorbtion of some antibiotics. Although I'm probably going to get thumbs down for this suggestion, I'd skip the dose tonight, have fun for the evening, and continue the course tomorrow.

They won`t work so just wait or you will be in a lot of pain after. You`ve only got to wait 5 days - dont be such a drama queen! Besides, the drink will hit you better after 5 days off. Cheap night out. Bonus!!

Lol i asked something similar to this a few weeks ago. Except I wanted to go out binge drinking and I was on anti hystamines =P
..Peeps said NOT to because it makes the medicine not work or something and it could react causing something BAD to happen.
