Jesus claimed to be God. He affirms Creation by affirming the scriptures. The Bible records His righteous reason for what he was doing on Earth. what alterior motive would there be to do all what He did?
Darwin never claimed to be God. Maybe he was a genious, but his human mind was still limited to human error. His life's experience possibly drove him to have certain motives during his findings. He experience Psycological deases in his life. His theory had been accepted and modified by scientists who receive pay checks.

Those who say Jesus never claimed to be God might want to read the four gospels again. "I and the Father are one." John 10:30
The arguement of being "good" was to those who obviously didn't believe he was God.

No, it doesn't really make sense. If the 6 days in Genesis are not literal, then are they metaphorical? If so, then why would you take anything in the bible as literal? How do you tell the difference between parts that are literal and parts that are metaphorical? What evidence do you have that a god has been tinkering with evolution in such a way as to direct it? If you took the god out of your hypothesis, how would you tell the difference? Certainly the story was written for the contemporaries of the people who wrote it. I can't imagine trying to write a story that would only be understood by people of the future, since I am limited to a current understanding of the universe myself. But if you write something and claim it is prophetic, you'd better show that you have a clear understanding of things beyond your time. You can believe whatever you want, but evolution is science, and science requires evidence and verification. Trying to mash up evidence-based science with a literal interpretation of the bible is a fool's errand because sooner or later you'll just have to adjust your interpretation again to deal with some new scientific finding. Eventually you get to the point where you'll be wondering why you even bother with a book written in the bronze age by people who thought the earth was the center of the universe.

Arr - so we should never believe anyone who is payed to do their job. Mmm like priests and ministers and the evangelist preachers.
Also - we are to believe in a 2000 year old book with doubtful origins that has but little back up against rigorously researched and counter-checked studies carried out under the gaze of anyone who wants to see.

Umm... evolutionists know Darwin was just a man.
It just so happens that he was right though - nothing else matters. Don't you people understand that science is beyond arguments from authority - do you think biology classes consist of worshipping darwin or something?

Luke 18:19 (New International Version)
"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone."
If he actually said that, then he didn't think he was God.
