What??? The gravity theory is SO, SO, SO simple. When you drop something, it falls. The bigger the mass, the quicker it falls. If you don't believe it, you aren't thinking clearly. It's really not even a theory, it is a fact. If you don't believe in gravity, what else don't you believe? Do you think the Earth is flat? Do you believe rain is the tears of God? Come on, get a clue.
Edit: bongernet, Look I'm no scientist or student of Galileo, but when I drop a piano off the top of a building and a penny off the top of a building at the same time, I'm pretty sure the piano hits the ground first.

Ok, let me explain something as someone who has a science degree - EVERYTHING IN SCIENCE IS A THEORY!! People hear the word theory and assume it means we're not sure if it's fact or not. The theory of gravity is widely accepted as factual (or "law"), as is the heliocentric universe theory, round earth theory, evolutionary theory, etc.
They remain labeled as theories because science will always allow for that very tiny sliver of a chance that all of the evidence supporting those theories was due to random chance. No matter how much evidence accumulates, it will never be labeled as fact. Can you tell me one scientific theory that is called "the fact of ____"?
As far as gravity, the earth is spinning at such a fast rate that it creates its own gravitational pull through centrifugal force. We don't feel it as such, but that is why when you drop something, it gets pulled to the earth.
Steel, what the hell?! I don't understand why it's so hard for you fanatics to believe that God created this world and put all of these beautiful, amazing, intricate processes into place. My creator is clever enough to create things that humans can't always understand, isn't yours? Why is it easier for you to believe that God is just sitting around orchestrating things and science is all a complete fallacy? You're causing an unnecessary fight - science and religion could be mutually complimenting if not for wackos like you.

It's just a matter of faith really. When I compare the theory of gravity with the theory of Adam and Eve in a garden with a talking snake 10,000 years ago, it's perfectly clear that both theories take a perfectly equal amount of faith to believe. It should be obvious to anyone that believing in gravity is just like a religion, and I am tired of those gravitational fundamentalists who are sooo sure that the theory of gravity is true.

Do you believe in the fact that the electron inside the atom is revolving around the proton.without fling off at the tangent ? What is is it due to? Just ponder over it and re-dicscover for y0ur self If you come up with any cause new and strange ,please let us know > Why and how do yu doubt the fallingof all things to the earth whenit is thrown within its gravitational field. First give reasons for rejecting it .If the estblished proof is crap ,wht other crap do you need ?

Proof of gravity is a good man and a bad man jump from a building, They both hit the ground. Are you questioning the word?

Because no alternative theory can beat it. Thats why. And from experience...
Oh yeah - gravity is a LAW, not a Theory.

I don't. Personally, I can fly if I want to. I just don't usually because it freaks people out.
If the THEORY of gravity is true, how can some of the X-Men fly? Yeah, I thought so.

Gravity is a fact, no a theory. Drop something, does it fall to the ground? This is due to gravity. If you feel this in error, than please, submit your reasons and lets debate them!

Gravity isn't a "theory" -- we're certain enough of how it works that it's graduated to the status of "Law"...

Ok if you stand all day dropping a ball every single time it will fall to the ground. It wont just hover there. we did that once in our sience class, the whole period one person stood on a desk while the teacher stood under them on the floor and the kid would catch the ball while the teacher would catch it and give it back....
