Absolutely--but do you actually understand who the Antichrist will be? He will not be some supernatural being. He will be a charismatic world leader who unites nations under his fraudulent pseudo-benevolent rule. Once he has secured power, the mask will fall, and the tyranny will begin.

I would like to tell you a true story. About ten years ago I taught voice and got all my students together to sing Christmas music - not Christmas carols, but the beautiful music that we hear every year, that spread the love of the season. They were so good that the local Catholic Church asked us to sing in their Christmas concert, held in the church. We were pleased to accept and my pupils did so well that the congregation stood up and applauded. By the way, other choirs sang Carols, which were beautiful and we were the only other choir that sang, shall we call them, non-carols. Two days later I had a phone call from a Minister of another church in the same town, asking if he and his wife could come and talk with us, because they had gone to the concert. I was amazed to discover they they had come to ask us, NOT to sing one particular song, the next weekend, because it was "a song about the anti-christ". I couldn't even guess which song they were talking about, and then they mentioned the title. I was flabergasted! This song had been my favorite for many years, and I had translated it in an entirely different way that this preacher and his wife. The song was "when a child was born" (if you don't know it look up the words on the net, originally sung by Johnny Mathis.
I interpreted it as remarking about all children that were born, they took it as a particular child, the so called anti-christ.
I am sorry, but I laughed at them, in fact I couldn't stop laughing. This beautiful song, that I loved, had been seen as a hateful song, by these people and their congregation. Anyway, that was not the end of the story. They asked me to pull the song from the concert next week and I refused. They were very upset and the next thing I heard was that they had phoned the Priest of the Church, saying that they objected to this song, and that he should have it pulled. They then phoned a couple of parents, of my students, and told them to not let their child sing in my choir. The end result - the Priest didn't see that song in the way they did and he refused to tell me to pull it. All the parents of my choir children, backed me 100% and we did the concert with the song in, but about 20 people were missing from the crowd, that had bought tickets for both shows.
Isn't this sad, that some religious people see such misery and hate in a beautiful song, with warm and loving words and twist the entire meaning around, to make it into something it isn't. Yes, many Christians believe in the anti-christ sadly, and I feel, adding to the negativity in the world.

Quite simply put the 'anti-Christ' is anyone who is against Christ.(1 John 2:18)
So the anti-Christ could be you mailman, your hairdresser, your pastor or reverend
Just ask them"Yo,homes,is Jesus the Christ?"
It's no big whoop, they are just a sign.
(Of coarse, spiritually speaking,it's a bit more complicated than that but it's not like the movie! In fact nothing is like the movies!)

The "antichrist" is not a biblical concept, and this word never appears on scripture. This word was introduced by Nostradamus in his "centuries"
What the scriptures confirm by words of Jesus himself regarding the end of times is that "of that time nobody knows the hour or the day, not the angels in heaven, not even the son, only the father in heaven"..., but it will be known by everyone and seen by everyone as the Son of man returns in His glory.
What the book of the Apocalypse does mention is the existence of a false prophet, and the two beasts. however the Apocalypse is very controversial with a very deep and esoteric meaning for most of its mesage interwooving the current situation of christians at the time this book was written: (The tribulation at the hands of Nero) and images of the return of Christ and the eternal glory of the justs in heaven.
Should we believe in the antichrist? No, because is not something that Christ himself announced. Should we fear him? Only if you are not on Jesus' side.
Should you expect him? No, why wait for Him to start living a Christian life?
Keep your lamps lit, that is the best advice our savior gave us, and don't believe rumors of "I am here or there"...because nobody knows the hour or the day.
God bless to you and all

Yes. The Bible speaks of a man who will be energized by Satan who will be able to perform "counterfeit miracles" that will be able to "...deceive the very elect" as the Scripture says into making people think he's God.

I'm afraid that the more fundamentalist types believe in anything. The preachers create and spread a completely insane dogma based on the literal interpretation of biblical texts.
