It's inspired by the poem "Alone" and shows a man on a mountainside looking at a demon-shaped cloud. Any leads would be appreciated.

I know this painting (drawings?) exists. I saw it on a website and forgot to bookmark it. Please don't give me links to the poem; I found about 800 of them already. Thanks.

I think you're out of luck. However, I found this website about the poem. Try there.

Two artists are mentioned as being inspired by the poems of Poe. They are Gustave Dore 1832-1883 and Edvuard Manet. It is most likely that the picture you are looking for is by Dore who painted fantasy landscapes, sometimes wih clouds with different shapes and figurs inside. Even so, I can't locate the rint you describe, the nearest being: Gustave Dore: Satan resting on a mountain "
