For starters it depends on your state. Normally in the application process for any law enfocement job they explain how long the selection process may take. Considering the number of applicants and how in depth the respective agencys investigation into your background is, 6 months is not unheard of. Will it hurt to give them a call and ask "if there is any further information they need from you in completing the background invstigation", no. And if you haven't been notified of problems or denial, then sit back, be patient and let the system work.

"Hello, investigator Doe? This is candidate John Smith. I'm calling to check on the status of my application for the corrections officer position. Is there any other additional information I can provide.?

maximum states do no longer require a level in spite of the shown fact that it is going to assist you to boost on the interest. As a former penitentiary shield I particularly enjoyed the interest. regrettably I worked at a penal complex that replaced into decreased in length by skill of the state making the pay and advantages undesirable. look for correctional centers that are nevertheless state run. in case you may stay calm below stress, have a hefty dose of skepticism and admire the shown fact that the criminal's punishment is penitentiary and that's no longer your interest to punish them extra there is not greater useful interest.
